Swimming in Love!

"This is not swimming with dolphins, this is swimming in Love."
Marline Oraha

We had many days where the ocean was as flat as a pancake.
Looking down into the translucent water when it is this still you can see
the dolphins as clear as day, even when they are at the bottom at 40 feet.

There were days where the wind filled the sails, making waves on the ocean,
creating squeals of delight from the bow as we rode the waves.

We experienced music, celebration, meditation, yoga, chanting...
all encapsulating very clearly the spirit of WildQuest.

Following are some words from participants that came to visit us
which touch me deeply. I would like to share them with you.

"The most accurate thing I can say is that the
Music and Celebration Week at Wildquest
was heaven here on Earth.

On the plane ride home back to Boston
I was listening to a song that is one of my favorites right now
"Chasing Cars" by Snow Patrol and one line of it
kept running over and over in my head:
“Show me a garden that's bursting into life.”
Those words express, for me, the fullness and
beauty of our week together.

Each of us growing and blossoming into the healthiest,
most alive expressions of our unique hearts and truths.

The safe and nurturing space was our soil, the ocean and
dolphins our loving sunlight, the music an inspiring rain,
and the dancing a turning of our faces towards the sun."

"Dolphins for me represent freedom, joy and a free spirit.
When I look at them, I yearn for that playfulness and
the ease with which they swim under water.

The first day we were out, they came while we were having lunch.
I was shaking and crying while snorkeling and
swimming with them, I could not believe that
one of my ultimate dreams is actually not a dream but a reality.
They were so welcoming, I was overwhelmed with love, joy,
happiness and above all I was a free spirit like them in the water!

I came to accept and understand the fact that I am part of them
and they are part of me as we are all part of this universe.
It was “BLISS” for me to come to this realization.
I finally felt reconnected to my spirit and the spirit of the dolphin
that I had been longing for before I came to Bimini."

Nathalie LeFave

"I felt like a child experiencing something
for the first time and yet it all felt very familiar.

I was also very aware within the excitement was
a connection to something that made me feel
safe and peaceful.

Part of the whole experience that stuck in my mind
was looking under the water and
for a few seconds watching humans and dolphins
playing together as one pod (family) no separation,
held together by the water.

When I returned to the boat and sat quietly looking out
into the vast ocean I started smiling
and my thoughts were
‘We must remember to play and
not take life too seriously.'

Life is to be celebrated!’"

 Ruth James

"Somehow home is filled with even more light and
love than when I left.
Hmmm.
Could it possibly have something to do with our lovely experience this week?!!
I am already chugging along with all of my work,
but with a better focus, lighter heart and
a greater ability to remain in the present.
I began this morning meditating on my deck above the water before sunrise
and was instantly reconnected with the peace
I discovered on our little island together."

"For me, the experience was like one giant week-long ecstatic meditation.

Moment after moment was so full and alive, and I felt so present
and connected inside and out.
So when people ask "How was it?", the best response I have is
"It was an incredibly sacred week filled
with extraordinary people and experiences."

After the week was over, I had anticipated that I might feel sad because
I had looked forward to it for sooooo long.
What would I dream about after it was over?
As it turns out, I'm not sad at all.
Instead I'm inspired and
looking forward to see how the experience
will continue to transform me and my work.
My dream now is to share this energy and
experience with others on land through my work and play!"
