Finding My Pod

A Journey into Dolphin Consciousness

Before coming to WildQuest, I had been living and serving at Ananda Meditation Seclusion Retreat in California for 9 years. It’s a worldwide community based on the teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda and Kriya yoga.

Only a few weeks before coming to Bimini, I had moved out of the community knowing it’s now time to connect with people and begin to share what was being cultivated in that sacred space. Only a week or so after making this big move, I was sitting in meditation, and I asked about my next steps.

As I sank into stillness, I began to feel my feet on the boat, the salt air on my skin, and I could hear the sail being lifted on a sailboat. And then I heard, contact WildQuest, see if there are any opportunities, and if not at this time, you still need to go“.

“Hmmmmm,”…… I thought to myself, “it seems this would be the end of their season, but ok“.  So, I sent an email anyway, and in the meantime, I decided to look at the WildQuest retreat schedule. When I checked the schedule, there was one date that popped right out at me, August 16. I felt a bit startled since it was only 2 weeks away, and I wondered how something like this would be possible (financially) at that moment.

Then Nala responded. She mentioned that if I were interested in working with WildQuest, I should come on a retreat and experience it. She suggested August 16, and informed me of a discount, which completely surprised me. I knew I had to make this journey, so I did.

It was big for me to integrate into a group and into the collective energy of a pod. Especially after living in a seclusion retreat for so long, but I knew this would be a new opportunity to grow and expand. I’ve worked retreats for years, but being “IN” a retreat is different. I almost felt a bit out of control, and that brought some deeper things to the surface that I was able to look at with love and compassion as I moved through the experience.

After the first swim with the dolphins, I had a huge emotional release of deep grief which took about 24 hours to work through. During those 24 hours or so, is when resistance to being in a group came up the strongest, but on the second day, after getting in the water, everything began to clear, and I suddenly found myself naturally energetically enter into the pod. I know the water and the dolphins helped with this, and they helped to shine a light on a separation wound I was not conscious of beforehand.  In the presence of the dolphins my nervous system felt safe enough to dissolve back into unity consciousness.

The following days were magic on top of magic swimming with the dolphins. In my Sufi path we speak of a hāl – a spiritual state bestowed upon the heart, a moment of grace in which our ordinary awareness seems to open into something greater.  After each swim, there were no thoughts, no mind chatter, just peace and bliss. I heard them communicate lessons to me in the water about how to embody the dolphin way of being – not wanting a moment to be any more, any less, or any different than what it is. They said “that’s how you stay in the present, and that’s how we experience unity consciousness and flow“.

When I returned to California, the women in the household where I currently reside noticed an immediate change – a big vibrational upgrade. Before the trip to Bimini, I typically wanted to spend time alone, so it was very surprising to my close friends that I now wanted to be in the group and socialize often, like a pod animal.

I could feel the drastic shift in my frequency, and my psychic abilities – particularly my communication with the dolphins – had become more refined. My meditations have been permeated by dolphin consciousness, with me suspended in a state of stillness and clarity that arises effortlessly, unlike anything I had experienced before. On some days, the dolphins come in with teachings and guidance.

A few weeks after returning to California, I told the cashier at the grocery store where I was shopping about my experience at WildQuest. To my surprise, she stepped out from behind the counter and asked if she could hug me because she could feel the energy of the dolphins and the experience radiating from me, and she wanted to be a part of that in some way! Wow!

I’ve known for many years, my path is to learn and work with or co-create magical experiences with the dolphins. The trip to WildQuest just feels like the beginning, and I’m so grateful for what you’ve created and are sharing with so many of us.
